The inmates here firmly believe in fairies, 
black helicopters and that magazines with 2,000 word limits are killing genre fiction.
We intend to be controversial by design, enjoyable by industrial standards and back in our straitjackets by five.
We have a picky publisher, a cranky editor and a budget so tiny we frequently misplace it and spend days looking for it.
That said, let us give you the details so you can get on with your life and we can go take our medications.
Obviously, we are a small press web-zine (if you hadn't figured that out already) free to read, specializing in dark speculative fiction.

Accepted word lengths will be quite long, providing we find stories with enough promise, and eventually o ur goal is to become a professional market with dual web/print magazines.
Now, to begin the journey in that direction, we believe our writers should be paid for their work. We also believe that we should be paid for our writers' work (displaying it that is). U ntil we get to that point... well, you get the picture.
Now on to the subject of contests. Oh the contests. Contest. At the end of every year we will choose the best of everything we've received and publish it again in a special issue. (With permission of course.) All chosen will be awarded prizes in the form of checks drawn on the bank of Yemen. (Just kidding.)
